Helping others express their need to connect is my superpower!
NV LMFT #01153
Founder & Marriage, Partner, and Family Relationship Specialist
When I first committed to my life partner and husband twenty-three years ago, I thought because I swore I would never have the same kind of relationship or be entirely the same kind of parents as my parents were, it would never happen. I thought my beliefs, willpower, and caretaking of the people I love would be enough to make a healthy partnership. And, while these qualities do have some clout; and luck, love, and forgiveness have played starring roles, I’ve learned a LOT about creating security and healthy bonding with my partner and children. Just like you, I too have had days where I’ve felt unseen and underappreciated, exhausted and frustrated. I, like you, have wondered why no-one gets me in my family. And I have had stupid fights with my partner; fights that I thought were about the words but were really about feeling separate and alone- at the dinner table, in the car, watching TV; places I thought no-one could ever be lonely in.
When we work together, you’ll see how my passion and purpose is to walk with you in your relationship and family. NOT because I’ve learned all the answers, but because over the years, I’ve felt how painful it is to feel confused, angry, and alone in your love commitment. I’ve worked hard to connect and re-connect with my people over and over, and I have learned one thing: it’s so much easier to work through love disconnection with a trusted guide by your side.
I’ve been walking with couples and families supporting their path to create connection as a Marriage and Family Therapist for over twenty years and counting.
I’m also a wife, a mother to two grown children, a dog lover, hiker and backpacker, sister, daughter, and friend. By no means do I create connection perfectly or without major mistakes and permanent flaws; how else would I be so comfortable laughing, crying, and hoping alongside you?
Some of the other things that equip me to be there for you: I have a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University and I’m a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists. I hold certificates as a Parent Educator with Positive Discipline, Basic Training as an EMDR therapist, and my passion project is as a Mental Health Consultant for a youth summer camp’s staff and counselors. My favorite therapist stuff to nerd out on is Attachment Theory and our biological pre-programming to form emotional bonds with others.

For all other insurances, you may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will support the cost of my services. I have partnered with Thrizer, a payment application that handles this process automatically for you so you can pay only what you truly owe for our sessions. We will first check to confirm you have out-of-network benefits. If so, I will use Thrizer so that you are charged according to your out of network benefits.
Alternatively I can provide you with a “superbill” to submit to your insurance carrier to receive reimbursement in accordance with your policy. I encourage you to talk with your insurance to get the best understanding of the cost of therapy when it is provided out of network. I accept HSA cards if one has been provided to you to offset out of network provider costs.
Good Faith Estimate:
In January 2022, the federal government mandated the No Surprises Act that give clients who are not using health insurance the right to receive in writing a “good faith estimate” for your total out of pocket costs . You are entitled to this estimate in writing upon request and it will be renewed annually. You are never obligated to pay for any costs listed in your estimate before any service is rendered. You also have the right to dispute your actual and accrued costs, should they significantly exceed your good faith estimate. Please don’t hesitate to relay your questions or concerns about this to me, or visit the CMS.gov website, or send an email or call 1-800-985-3059.
